Good news to all commuters. the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board orders to remove the P10.00 add-on fare for taxi and P0.50 centavos in passenger jeppney fare. This means P26.00 (non-air) and P30.00 (aircon) flagdown rate here in DAvao should be observed by drivers. For communters using utility jeepneys, the minimum fare will be P7.00.
I understand the sentiment of the transport group due to world crude prices, but drivers should also be sensitive to their passengers who like them is presently experienceing economic crisis. At first, i thought the add-on ten pesos for taxi was just fine. But the more i commute within downtown, the add-on fare is too heavy for the budget.
