METROSTRIKE AT NCCC MALL
MetroLifestyle and NCCC Mall of Davao collaborated yet another successful fitness event as part of the culmination activities for summer. The event titled “METROSTRIKE: Metrolifestyle Bushido-Kai Karate Tournament, Muaythai Demo Fight and Metrostrike Group Fitness Marathon” was staged last Saturday, May 16, 2009 at the NCCC Mall of Davao, Maa, Davao City.
MetroStrike is a non-contact, mixed martial arts-based fitness program with moves drawn from Karate, Taekwondo, Kung Fu, Kickboxing, Muaythai, Capoiera and Tai Chi. MetroLifestyle Fitness Instructors Nell Jone Astudillo, Ivy Ko and Bonn Sarabia were in command leading the combatants representing different fitness centers.
Congratulations to all the participants, kids and adults alike, who are all considered winners for stepping forward and facing the challenge of beating mediocrity for the sake of fitness.

The Judges for this event were: Ms. Leng Dalo, who has been teaching group exercise for 9 years and handles any fitness class ranging from Belly Dancing, Cardio Kickbox, Hi-Lo, Bench, Latino, Punchbag Aero to Aqua Aero Exercises. Mr. Niño Calamba is the Senior Fitness Supervisor of the UM Fitness & Wellness Centre, columnist and feature writer of Mindanao Times newspaper, dancemaster and choreographer. Mr. Bryan Grandeza the Founder and Director of Groove Unlimited Dance Community, a martial artist, a dancer and choreographer.
