Another Dolphin Died in Davsao Gulf



Sta.Cruz, Davao del Sur - Fishermen in Baybay, Coronon discovered a lifeless dolphin that was washed ashore Monday evening. The dolphin weighs about seventy kilos and about six feet long. Romeo Montesori fisrt discovered the dolphin. He thought it was a tuna so they tried to poach it but some of the residents warned them about the penalties in dolphing poaching. They immediately reported it to local police.


Members of Provincial Fisheries office immediately conducted post mortem investigation and discovered the wounds and scars on its side. Authorities cannot identify yet the cause of death.
Fisheries office also reminded the residents to avoid hurting or poaching dolphins as it is already an endangered specie.
